Susannah Crook

Susannah is a former secondary school art teacher who has enabled young people, through art, to find their own voice. She has recently embarked on a journey to rediscover her own voice.

Living by the sea, in Weston Super Mare, provides an immediate inspiration for her work. The ever changing sky, the reflections of light on water at the time of incoming and outgoing tides feature in many of her drawings and paintings.

Susannah has a mindful approach to her work understanding that the creation of art has many benefits to our mental and spiritual well being. It can relax, de-stress and rejuvenate and, through the process of mindfully drawing and painting, we can find stillness, clarity and joy.

Through her artwork and her teaching Susannah aims to provide the time and space for us to become still, to focus, to simply breathe and to create.
